Swami Vivekananda established Ramakrishna Order (Religious Trust) more than a century ago in the name of his Guru, Bhagawan Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa Dev, with the motto 'Atmano Mokshartham Jagat Hitaya Cha' - 'For Liberation of the self and for the welfare of the world'. The comprehensive community health program by Ramakrishna Math, Rajarhat-Bishnupur will provide primary health care services to a population of under privilege rural areas. The project includes traditional health checkups, mobile medical services, free medicine and other community and health services. The focus of the project is on health service to the poor and weaker section of the society. For this great cause several medical practitioners have extended their support. This project will develop an innovation system of training, monitoring, reporting system. As well as Ramakrishna Math, Rajarhat-Bishnupur provided some Educational & Vocational Training Programme for the Under Privileged people. The educational and training programme includes Welfare services, Free coaching, Vocational Training: Tailoring, Electrical, Plumbing cum fitting etc.
The Math authority is engaged in propagating the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother, Swami Vivekananda and Swami Niranjanananda (who was the son of this soil).
Throughout the year the math has a schedule of daily worship, Vedic mantra and stotra chanting, aratric, bhajanas and prayer. Devotees avail themselves of sacred environment for meditation and spiritual practice. At the time of Sandhya Arati religious congregations are held regularly. On every Ekadashi Evening Ramnaam Sankirtan is organaised. Important religious occasions like Buddha Purnima, X-Mas Evening, Sankara Jayanti etc. are observed through religious discourses. Special Pujas, Religious Programmes, Lectures, Cultural Programmes etc. are held on important date or Tithies like Birthday of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda and Swami Niranjanananda.
As well as, A devotees convention Bhakta Sanmelan, is held every year in which devotees of different parts of India participates. On this occasion, Monks of Ramakrishna order address the gatherings. Apart from spiritual discourses, Question-Answer session and devotional songs by monks and eminent artists also marks the occasion.
Health Care Activities
Allopathic Clinics: Under the arrangement of Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata by financial help of WBIDFC Ltd. (West Bengal Infrastructure Development Finance Corporation Limited), medical facilities have been thrown open to the people of the locality in a more useful way and wider scale. The service includes free treatment of patients by specialist doctors and free distribution of medicines. Average attendance of patients is about 100 per day.
Homoeopathy Dispensary: Qualified Homoeopath Doctors are attending the patients with acre twice in a week. Average attendance of patients is about 25 per day.
Gadadhara Abhyudaya Prakalpa: To celebrate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda the Math authority permitted us to start 'Gadadhara Abhyudaya Prakalpa' from December 2010 and 'Vivekananda Swasthya Pariseva Prakalpa' from April 2011. Projects are integrated Children's Welfare Project for physical, mental and intellectual development of children by the Central Government through Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission upto 30th September, 2014. From 1st, October, 2014 we are continuing Gadadhara Abhyudaya Prakalpa by the help of Belur Math (Headquarters).
Students of the Gadadhara Abhyudaya Prakalpa and free coaching centre are benefited through our activity. Authority supply them text books, exercise books and nutritive foods at free of cost. Educational scholarships are also given to the poor students of the area throughout the year.
Vocational Training: Tailoring- 24 Woman, Electrician- 20 Students, Plumbing-cum-fitting - 13 Students are engaged in vocational training to stand on their own feet in the future life.
Communicative Skill Development: Communicative skill development training is continuing to the vocational students and other students with youths by learning Spoken English, Group Discussion etc. to tackle the difficulties of the real world.
Under this project Ashrama is serving approx. 100 poor living near about Ashrama with 250ml milk, one banana and one packet of biscuits everyday (5 pm. To 6 pm). Beneficiaries cover three groups; Children up to the age 6 year, pregnant mothers and Nursing mothers. We have 138 enrolled beneficiaries. Ramakrishna Math, Rajarhat-Bishnupur, distributed Sarees, Blankets, School-Bags, Umbrella etc. among the poor of the locality and also school uniform to students the area, scholarship to the poor students.
